Garmin nüvi 2595LMT 5-Inch Portable Bluetooth GPS Navigator with Lifetime Maps and Traffic The Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT delivers solid quality in a surprisingly small package, making it unobtrusive to your view while you drive. However, it’s not so small that you have to squint to see the map. At 5 inches, the touchscreen is just the right size, not too big as to block your view or so small as to make you squint to see. While driving, the display is split into two views: one for the road map and one for upcoming turns. If you don’t like this feature and simply want to see the map, the responsive screen makes adjusting the settings a breeze.
This navigator comes weighs just under 7 ounces, an average heft for our lineup. It’s ultra-strong mount will keep it from falling off your windshield or sliding down your dash. This mount isn’t a charger, so you’ll have to attach a vehicle power cord to the Nuvi 2595LMT or rely on its surprisingly small 2.5-hour battery. This is not the ideal device to take on long walks, hikes or bike rides, but if you keep it plugged into your car charger the battery life won’t become an issue.
Garmin has built its reputation on delivering a fantastic driving experience, and the Nuvi 2595LMT continues this trend. As mentioned above, the split-screen view is the default setting. We like the street-view screen for navigating tricky highway interchanges; however, the screens can be adjusted to display any combination of maps, Lane Assist or after-market plug-ins.
When choosing your route, you can avoid specific roads or areas. For example, if you want to avoid a certain bridge, the route planner will map around it. Alo, the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT offers routes based on expected traffic, distance and time. As you are driving, points of interest will appear on the map, like gas stations, banks or restaurants. Chains stores will have their logos displayed, while local businesses will use generic icons. If you are creating your own points of interest, be aware that the icon options are limited.
The Garmin 2595LMT comes with free map and traffic updates for the life of the device. The map updates come from downloads, sometimes taking several hours. However, the live traffic updates come from an FM signal. Outside vendors sponsor the traffic updates, and while these ads are supposed to pop up when you’ve stopped, the banners tend to cover the map and will sometimes display for too long. These ads are a major nuisance, and at their worst, they hinder the functionality of your GPS.
This is great product and also great quality. Hopefully you will satisfied with this product and make sure the excellent rate for you.
