GlobalSat BU-353 USB GPS Navigation Receiver

The Globalstat BU-353-S4 is powered by the SiRF Star IV GPS chipset and uses an extremely low power consumption to create a small and compact weatherproof GPS receiver. It works well in canyons and mountains, as well as through areas with thick and dense foliage. This Globalstate GPS receiver can detect satellite positions about three days in advance and can deliver current coordinates in less than 15 seconds. It typically does not need any other network assistance. The Globalstate GPS receiver features a MicroPower mode that allows users to stay in hot-start conditions and still receive maximum GPS effects. This weatherproof GPS receiver has a maximum operating capacity of 40 to 185 degrees F and a humidity capacity of 95 percent. An LED indicator light lets users know when the Globalstat BU-353-S4 receiver is in on or off mode.

This Globalstate GPS receiver works well for automotive navigation, marine navigation, mobile phone navigation, and fleet management, as well as personal positioning when out and about. The BU-353 GPS Receiver can be utilized in a variety of applications which require GPS signals to be received and decoded in your Windows laptop or tablet, and for Mac users, iBooks or Powerbooks. Compatible with most NMEA compliant third-party software, the BU-353 is suitable for use in vehicle, marine and aviation navigation, as well as commercial and municipality applications such as fire trucks, police cars, buses, GIS data collection and much more!
The BU-353′s slim profile housing is completely waterproof and incorporates an active patch antenna for the highest level of GPS accuracy. With a 60″ cable, placement of the GPS receiver with in the vehicle is not critcal however in those rare occurrences when towering high-rises offer challenging satellite reception, simply place the BU-353 on the vehicle’s roof (attaches via a built-in magnet) for improved performance. Since power and data are transferred through the BU-353′s USB cable, there’s no need for batteries or any other external power source.
